A look can travel globally in a day. That makes it culturally relevant, but not necessarily durable. The Measure looks for recurrence across independent sources, categories, makers, and price points before treating an image as a wardrobe signal.
Classics still move
Timeless does not mean frozen. Trouser width, jacket length, texture, and the balance between formal and casual clothing all change. The most useful classic is often the one whose underlying function survives while its expression is quietly adjusted.
Confidence can fall
Scores are editorial judgments, not probabilities. Their value comes from showing the strength of the present evidence and recording why that view moved. A trend history should make a weakening signal as visible as a rising one.
